Dash electronics update …

Looking to the status of the car reminds us that the time is right to make some progress with the dashboard. The TFT proto, which we mainly used to develop code , is already operational since a long time.
Unfortunately, the remaining PCB’s are untouched.

Ready in 3 steps …

Step 2 : the engine bay

It looks like another milestone for us. The engine is completally ready, only we don’t have the final version of the alternator available yet.

The S14 looks pretty “cool” and we are more than curious what numbers we will get from the rolling road. Although we do have a quiet good idea, it would be a nice feeling to be pleasantly surprised.

The R-Box gastro intestinal system …

Luckily it’s much shorter and less complex compared to a human being, even regarding the tasks.
The only useful goal for our M3 guts system is to transport cooling water. Despite it’s hot, we have chosen for blue. The silicon tubes are all standard parts, which means a lot of connectors and clamps.

It’s a pity but a custom setup, with preformed shapes would be too expensive.
Maybe if you all going to copy our setup it could be feasible to make dedicated 1 piece tubes.

Anyway, the coolant fluid can go on the engine, and as you know water is the start of everything !!

The CAM sensor …

This action point was shifted in time maybe 100 times. Because the car was in the North of the Netherlands Dries (Bosch Tuning) fixed this quickly.
We know we won’t gain anything in power here but we want to inject fuel sequentially to safe a bit on fuel consumption.

The sump protection …

One of the tasks when in the Netherlands was the construction of the sump protection.
Since carbon is ridiculous expensive, we selected a decent 6mm ALU plate. Because we are not equipped to bend and cut such material it was a job for Ger from HSP.

We know Ger delivers always perfect work and he is always concerned about the looks too.
Some pictures, judge by yourself.
